WeEn Semiconductors Co., Ltd is a globally leading enterprise specializing in power semiconductors. It was formerly known as NXP's Semiconductor Standard Products Division and was registered in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province in August 2015. The company's operation center is in Shanghai, with a chip production base in Jilin, a subsidiary in Hong Kong, R&D centers in Shanghai and the UK, and a logistics center in Dongguan. It has also established a global sales and service system.
WeEn combines advanced bipolar power technology with NXP's resource advantages in China's manufacturing and distribution channels, mainly dealing in power semiconductor products such as thyristors, silicon carbide devices, fast recovery diodes, TVS/ESD, IGBTs and modules, which are widely used in consumer electronics (home appliances), industrial manufacturing (communication power supplies), new energy and automotive fields. With over 100 patents (including 6 overseas patents), the proportion of R&D investment in the past two years has exceeded 7%. The global market share of thyristors ranks second (first in China), and that of silicon carbide diodes ranks fifth to seventh globally (first in China) (Omdia 2023 data). Moreover, the products are applied to many globally renowned brands, forming a technological barrier and deeply binding with top customers.
WeEn has over 500 global employees, research and development personnel accounted for about 12%. We build a global sales network through our own team and agency model to precisely match customer needs. Relying on the full-chain layout of R&D, production and logistics, it supports the localization and import substitution of semiconductors and enjoys national policy support (belonging to the strategic emerging leading industry). Deeply engage in the industry to form a first-mover advantage, and build a virtuous cycle with technological accumulation, mass production experience and customer collaborative development capabilities, continuously promoting the innovative application of power semiconductors in the field of intelligent manufacturing.
WeEn Semiconductors unveils its 2000V High-Voltage (HV) series of standard rectifiers. Designed to address the evolving demands of high-voltage systems, these rectifiers achieve a 5% reduction in forward voltage drop (VF) and a 20% improvement in thermal resistance compared to competing solutions. The innovations enable significant efficiency gains, lower cooling costs and extended operational lifespans in renewable energy storage and electric vehicle (EV) fast-charging applications.
The 2000V HV series integrates a proprietary single-chip design to minimize conduction losses with an optimized ORing circuit that enhances thermal management. This combination ensures reliable performance in 1500V bus systems and 1000VDC EV charging infrastructure, where voltage spikes and stray inductance pose risks to component longevity. With high Junction Temperature (Tjmax), it operates up to 150°C, ensuring stability in demanding environments. It also enhances robustness under dynamic load conditions. With TO247-2L packaging, it streamlines integration into high-power designs.
Two initial variants are available: the 60A-rated WND60P20W and the 90A-rated WND90P20W. These devices are engineered to mitigate voltage spikes in fast-changing EV charging loads, safeguarding systems against failure while improving power density.
WeEn Semiconductors emphasizes innovation with cutting-edge R&D. Over the past 12 months, WeEn Semiconductors has intensively launched three breakthrough products:
1. 600V Super Junction MOSFET: Targeting AI servers and telecom power supplies, it features ultra-low resistance (65mΩ), robust thermal management capabilities, and Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) topologies, significantly enhancing energy efficiency and power density.
2. 2000V High-Voltage Rectifier Series: Achieves a 5% lower forward voltage drop (VF) and 20% optimized thermal resistance compared to competing solutions, delivering a high-reliability solution for renewable energy storage and EV fast-charging systems.
3. Silicon Carbide (SiC) TSPAK Packaging Technology: Leveraging top-side cooling design, it reduces thermal resistance by 16% and minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMI), enabling miniaturization and long-term stable operation in EVs, photovoltaic (PV) systems, and server power supplies.
WeEn Semiconductors demonstrates precise market positioning and global deployment, strategically focusing on high-growth sectors. Its products comprehensively cover new energy (PV/storage), electric vehicles (charging stations/on-board power), AI infrastructure, and industrial power supplies, closely aligning with "dual carbon" and intelligentization trends. Supported by its Shanghai R&D Center, Jilin chip production base, Nanchang laboratory, and global sales network, the company achieves technological autonomy and efficient delivery, serving global markets.
WeEn Semiconductors empowers customers by optimizing device performance (e.g., reducing energy consumption by 20%), helping them lower cooling costs and increase system power density, thereby accelerating the adoption of green technologies like PV inverters and fast-charging piles. Its products, applied in energy-efficient appliances and new energy facilities, contribute to an annual reduction of over 10,000 tons in global carbon emissions, fully aligning with ESG development principles.
